The last third of the discussion turns to the idea of public domain fiction that can’t be ‘bought’ by a corporation and why Leslie thinks horror writer H.P. Lovecraft still has so much staying power today. Leslie also addresses Lovecraft’s ‘virulent’ racist views but explains how those are not necessarily central to his actual horror writings.
