A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to go on the Joe Rogan Experience with actor and comedian Joe Rogan. His podcast has exploded in popularity over the years and its format has revolutionized the way people think about alternative media.

The stand up comedian is also an accomplished martial arts expert and self proclaimed open-minded skeptic who hosts the SciFi TV show Joe Rogan Questions Everything.

On Breaking the Set, Joe drops knowledge about the War on Drugs, transhumanism & the UFC, where he awesomely debunks conventional wisdom about marijuana and psychedelics – elaborating on the history and benefits of Dimethyltryptamine or DMT.

Cliteracy 101: Getting to Know and Love the Clitoris

Cliteracy101How much do you know about the clitoris?

Yes, I’m talking about lady parts. But I’m not only referring to an understanding of what the clit is as it relates to sex. There’s a whole world of knowledge that remains unexplored about this female organ, like the fact that the clitoris contains 8,000 sensory nerve endings – double the amount of a penis.

Even though we live in a society inundated with sex, polls reveal that a significant number of women are not getting sexual satisfaction. This trend could be due to the fact that having an open dialogue about the female organism is still taboo in society, and the stigma is preventing women from addressing it with their partners.

This taboo is exactly what one Brooklyn artist is trying to change. Her name is Sophia Wallace and her art explores the misconceptions about the clit, and exposes the word for what it is: a symbol of freedom, sovereignty and sexual equality.

Abby Martin on Joe Rogan, Duncan Trussell & Buzzsaw

After a year of Breaking the Set, I have been making the rounds on some of my favorite comedians’ podcasts and shows hosted by other great media personalities.

Duncan Trussell is a LA based comedian who hosts an awesome podcast called The Duncan Trussell Family Hour (DTFH). It was really fun to be able to talk to him about everything from human evolution to what I would do to fight terrorism if I were President.
