Inside the Zeitgeist Revolution with Peter Joseph

Some of you may already be familiar with Zeitgeist, a controversial documentary film trilogy that challenges everything you think you know about the world. If you aren’t, do yourself a favor and get acquainted.

The first movie release, Zeitgeist, analyzes the social constructs that keep humanity’s consciousness stunted; Zeitgeist: Addendum dissects the unsustainability of the current economic system; The epilogue, Zeitgeist: Moving Forward, outlines the notion of structural violence, mechanization and the blueprint for a new system – one that can exist harmoniously with nature.

The viral film series has since spawned a global collective called The Zeitgeist Movement or TZM, an international initiative of activism and awareness pushing the notion that the current social and economic structure is inherently flawed, and must be transformed in order to ensure a sustainable future for all.

The Zeitgeist trilogy, as well as its follow-up Culture in Decline series, have challenged many of my preconceived paradigms as well as greatly inspired my activism, so it was awesome to sit down with Peter Joseph, founder of The Zeitgeist Movement Global, for an in-depth interview. Whether or not you agree with his philosophy, it’s undeniably thought-provoking and deserves to be heard.

Jesse Ventura Breaks the Set on the 50th Anniversary of the JFK Assassination

Not many people can cross over from professional wrestler to Hollywood actor to Governor of a state – unless of course, you’re Jesse ‘The Body’ Ventura.

After leaving the world of wrestling, Ventura ran for mayor and then Governor of Minnesota as an independent candidate, proving that defeating the two-party monopoly is possible. Since his gubernatorial run, he’s hosted a popular television show and written several best-selling books.

His latest book is called ‘They Killed our President: 63 Reasons to Believe There was a Conspiracy to Assassinate JFK.’ With the 50th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination, Ventura joined me on Breaking the Set to discuss the evidence of a government conspiracy and the potential for a 2016 presidential run with radio host Howard Stern.

Media Roots Radio – Government Shutdown Partisan Hackery

On this edition of Media Roots Radio, Abby and Robbie Martin discuss the US government shut down’s partisan dog and pony show as a result of hypocritical ‘Obamacare’ woes. They talk about Obama’s use of extraordinary rendition to kidnap people who pose no threat to the US, self-immolations on the rise, negative reactions to talking about the clitoris and Noam Chomsky vs. neo-con mastermind Richard Pearle in a 1988 debate.

Joe Rogan Breaks the Set on Psychedelics

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to go on the Joe Rogan Experience with actor and comedian Joe Rogan. His podcast has exploded in popularity over the years and its format has revolutionized the way people think about alternative media.

The stand up comedian is also an accomplished martial arts expert and self proclaimed open-minded skeptic who hosts the SciFi TV show Joe Rogan Questions Everything.

On Breaking the Set, Joe drops knowledge about the War on Drugs, transhumanism & the UFC, where he awesomely debunks conventional wisdom about marijuana and psychedelics – elaborating on the history and benefits of Dimethyltryptamine or DMT.

Cliteracy 101: Getting to Know and Love the Clitoris

Cliteracy101How much do you know about the clitoris?

Yes, I’m talking about lady parts. But I’m not only referring to an understanding of what the clit is as it relates to sex. There’s a whole world of knowledge that remains unexplored about this female organ, like the fact that the clitoris contains 8,000 sensory nerve endings – double the amount of a penis.

Even though we live in a society inundated with sex, polls reveal that a significant number of women are not getting sexual satisfaction. This trend could be due to the fact that having an open dialogue about the female organism is still taboo in society, and the stigma is preventing women from addressing it with their partners.

This taboo is exactly what one Brooklyn artist is trying to change. Her name is Sophia Wallace and her art explores the misconceptions about the clit, and exposes the word for what it is: a symbol of freedom, sovereignty and sexual equality.
