<p>Yes, I&#8217;m talking about lady parts. But I’m not only referring to an understanding of what the clit is as it relates to sex. There&#8217;s a whole world of knowledge that remains unexplored about this female organ, like the fact that the clitoris contains 8,000 sensory nerve endings – double the amount of a penis.</p>
<p>Even though we live in a society inundated with sex, <a href="http://abcnews.go.com/Health/ReproductiveHealth/sex-study-female-orgasm-eludes-majority-women/story?id=8485289">polls reveal</a> that a significant number of women are not getting sexual satisfaction. This trend could be due to the fact that having an open dialogue about the female organism is still taboo in society, and the stigma is preventing women from addressing it with their partners.</p>
<p>This taboo is exactly what one Brooklyn artist is trying to change. Her name is Sophia Wallace and her art explores the misconceptions about the clit, and exposes the word for what it is: a symbol of freedom, sovereignty and sexual equality.</p>
