by the candidates last night was mrleey rhetoric (what I hate MOST about modern politics: DECEPTION), such as Tea Partiers claiming to be constitutionalists and then voting for the so-called Patriot Act , then Ron Paul's contention that the mainstream is swimming his direction MUST have a large element of truth in it. With a few old guard exceptions, it seemed like candidates were crawling all over each other in their efforts to sound the most like Ron Paul! And in THAT sense, I have to strongly agree with Cain's assertion that this line-up is indeed a GREAT line-up of Republican candidates (we'll see what they ACTUALLY would do in office, though, and that's probably where the disappointment would come for me).Dr. Paul did look exhausted, though, coming into the debate, although he seemed to perk up as the debate went on. I wonder if the Iowa trip on debate day was just too much extra on top of all his responsibilities? DEAR DR. PAUL: Your health is so very valuable to the r3VOLution. PLEASE don't wear yourself out!Ron Paul did stand out of the crowd in several places, but especially as his one answer about being commander in chief, and not deferring to generals over pulling troops out of Afghanistan, put Mitt Romney to shame (who had intimated that his policy would be just another neoconservative Bush/Obama rerun, when he copped out on the question of troop removal by saying that he would defer to the opinions of his generals on the ground).
