Great article, if only more journalists would report more balanced views the world would possibly be a better place. It seems to me however, that even journalism itself is an institutionalised belief system, those very reporters who are supposed to bring unbiased news to the table have in fact been comprimised in ways other than you mention, the big one being indoctrination through their education. Much as we are what we eat, we also are what we absorb socially. The psychology as you mentioned, has long been understood and since it's connaisance, has long been manipulated. Right down to "sigil"-ised advertising - words indeed have power and often, hidden meaning that only those in the right cliques will see for what they are. I applaud you on your insights, but I encourage you to apply your critical analysis to further areas of your lives in general. The rabbit hole does not end at the news feeds. One final word for thought, as word plays are definately part of thought manipulation - "Culture" right there in the word, Culture, is Your Cult. Peace
