What a pity Graham uses the term “Atlantis.” It immediately conjures up all the loopiness which has surrounded the subject in recent times, and he therefore devalues much of genuine interest that he may have to say. Plato’s Atlantis story almost certainly concerns Minoan Crete which he describes with great accuracy – the only thing which throws it out of sync is the enormous age of the civilisation – 9500 years before his time. It is only recently that evidence of a global superflood (as Graham calls it) has come to light. Whatever civilisation existed at that time was certainly not Plato’s Atlantis – it was something entirely different.

Regardless of that, Graham is recapping on his earlier books, which I think is a very good idea – it is now possibly time to re-evaluate his theories in light of more recent discoveries, eg Gobleke Tepe in SE Turkey, a temple complex which existed over 12,000 years ago.

There is definitely something in all this – keep up the good work, Graham.

We need a person with huge funds like Bill Gates, or Branson, to take up the cause and investigate Egypt. A person with those kind of funds can buy the equipment, the staff, and bribe the Egyptian authorities if need be, to allow us to dig at the Sphinx or other places.

orgata — “What a load of shit.”? Graham Hancock is talking exactly about people like you. Your small mind is in desperate need of expansion. Do you REALLY believe the the Pyramids were built by slaves dragging 70 ton block up ramps for 30 years and that the 500 TON blocks of granite that were carved into the geometrically perfect Colossi of Ramses where made with copper chisels? There are hundreds of more examples of monolithic feats performed in ancient times that we would have quite a hard time doing in 2012 even with all the modern machines at our disposal. Some others would simply be impossible. You are woefully closed of mind. If you live to see the secrets of Egypt revealed I fear you may not be able survive the shock. Still time for you though. But only if you choose to change.
