After discovering Third World Traveler some years ago and checking out ‘heritage’ websites, I found to my distress many were closing down for fear of retribution by the Powers That Be.
After WordPress archived my blog I moved to Opera Community, which has opened up a number of opportunities for member bloggers. One of these was an opportunity to host one’s own news aggregation system, which made an interesting adjunct to things like Yahoo Pipes and Netvibes, Pageflakes, Google Reader. etc.
